HEATHER MARIE ADKINS is an author and avid bibliophile with the library to prove it. To date, she has dabbled in numerous genres including chick lit, historical romance, horror, mystery, and various forms of the paranormal. Her influences include Jennifer Crusie, Laurell K Hamilton, Kim Harrison, and Jim Butcher. She first began publishing her work in June 2011, much to the chagrin of her mother. The somewhat insane, often hectic, but absolutely amazing years since have proven without a doubt, writing is her drug.
She is the author of nearly twenty highly-rated titles including: The Temple (Vale Avari, Book One); Abigail (Witch Faery, Book One); His Haunting Kiss (His Kiss, Book One); Mother of All (Hedgewitch Mysteries, Book One); Heaven Below (Goddess of Ptalonia, Book One); and Wiccan Wars, the first book in an occult bestselling trilogy.
Heather’s novels have hit numerous bestseller lists over the years. In September of 2011, she was chosen as the Louisville Eccentric Observer’s Reader’s Choice “3rd Best Local Author,” and received the same honor the next year. In 2012, the eFestival of Words nominated THE TEMPLE for BEST NOVEL and CAUSE AND EFFECT for BEST DRAMA. Then in early 2013, CONSTANT STATE OF DISASTER was chosen as a second round finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award.
Heather is currently working on numerous projects, including a thriller with a ghostly protagonist, an dark urban fantasy, and the first in a new witchcraft cozy mystery series. In 2016, she will be branching into New Adult/Contemporary romances under the pen name NOLIA MCCARTY, as well as mid-grade fantasy titles under the pseudonym DEEDEE BURNS.
Heather lives for magick and words, but not necessarily in that order. She can often be found wrangling chickens in her backyard, pulling weeds from her herb garden, and saving field mice from her cats, and she would give anything to live in a cottage in Ireland. She worships the moon and stars, and loves the feel of grass beneath her bare feet.
A practicing witch, Heather lives in north-central Kentucky with a house full of animals and the love of her life — all of whom drive her crazy.
Heather Marie Adkins writes too much but still too little. She also has too many cats, not enough tequila, and a torrid love affair with procrastination.
Heather resides in north-central Kentucky with a sarcastic cop who is entirely too dependent on puns. When she’s not plotting her next story or herding felines, she works at the library. Find out more about her at heathermarieadkins.com.
